The campaign involves a narrative where a secret force has infiltrated the CIA, labeling resisters as traitors. Players follow Black Ops veteran Frank Woods and his team who are forced to go rogue to expose the real traitors. The single-player experience includes dynamic gameplay, various locations, and classic spy activities. 
Multiplayer offers 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 smaller Strike maps. The game introduces the “Omnimovement” system for enhanced player movement, allowing for sprinting, diving, and sliding in any direction. Round-Based Zombies returns with two new maps at launch, continuing the Dark Aether story. 
The game utilizes the latest engine technology to provide improved graphics, a smooth interface, and responsive gameplay across all modes.
